holy crap! just started crying at work. I miss you so much Cassie! You are amazing!!! You have always been such a "bright side of things person" and always have a smile on your face. As I am usually on the pessimistic side - you are such an inspiration. I strive to be more like you each day. love, Stacey
Thank you everyone for all the amazing support. We have created this blog to help keep you updated during her treatment and recovery. As you may know, on July 28, 2009, Cassie was diagnosed with an aggressive form of diffuse large b cell Lymphoma. She underwent many rounds of in-patient chemotherapy over the following months until she was declared cancer free and in remission on September 18, 2009. She then had a stem cell transplant on November 5, 2009 to help ensure that the cancer does not return. She is being treated at UCLA Medical Center. Her spirit is grateful, courageous and hopeful.
Cassie received her stem cell transplant on 11/5/09 and is well on the road to a full recovery.
